How We Make It

Manufacturing Process β€” Raw Material to Finished Fitting

Raw Material Procurement

Seamless pipes, plates, or billets sourced from approved mills with EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates. Heat number recorded for full traceability. Incoming material inspection against ASTM chemical and mechanical requirements.

Cutting to Size

Raw material cut to precise dimensions for the fitting type and size being manufactured. Heat number transferred to each cut piece β€” maintaining traceability throughout the process.

Hot Forming on Hydraulic Press

Material heated and formed on our 100MT, 150MT, or 350MT hydraulic press depending on size and wall thickness. Dies engineered to ASME B16.9 dimensional requirements. Multiple pressing operations for complex shapes like elbows and tees.

Heat Treatment β€” Annealing Furnace

All stainless steel and alloy grades undergo solution annealing or stress relief in our electric furnace. Temperature and time controlled per ASTM requirements for each grade. Critical for WP91 (PWHT at 760Β°C), stainless steel (solution anneal at 1050Β°C+), and duplex grades.

Machining β€” Bevel End Preparation

Ends machined on our heavy duty lathe machines to ASME B16.25 bevel end requirements. Wall thickness brought to specified schedule. Inside diameter cleaned and finished. Outside diameter turned to ASME B16.9 tolerances.

Grinding & Finishing

Surface grinding and finishing on base grinder and hand grinder. Buffing for stainless steel grades β€” achieving smooth surface finish. All surface defects removed. Fitting inspected for cracks, laps, or seams.

Dimensional Inspection

100% dimensional inspection per ASME B16.9. Centre-to-face, OD, wall thickness, bevel angle β€” all checked against standard. Non-conforming pieces rejected. Inspection records maintained for each batch.

Marking & Certification

Each fitting marked per ASME B16.9 β€” manufacturer name, size, schedule, material grade, and heat number. EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate prepared with actual chemical and mechanical test results, heat number, and dimensional compliance.

Packing & Dispatch

Fittings packed in wooden cases or as per customer requirement. Bevel ends protected with plastic caps. Export packing for international shipments β€” fumigated wooden crates with moisture protection. Dispatch from Navi Mumbai within 24–48 hours for stocked items.

Full quality management system covering all manufacturing operations β€” from raw material procurement through finished goods dispatch. Documented procedures, work instructions, and quality records maintained for every batch.

Incoming Material Inspection

Every incoming raw material verified against EN 10204 3.1 MTC before entering production. Chemical composition and mechanical properties confirmed. Heat number recorded and maintained through production.

In-Process Inspection

Dimensional checks at each stage β€” after forming, after heat treatment, after machining. Non-conforming material identified and segregated at each stage before proceeding to the next.

Final Inspection

100% dimensional inspection per ASME B16.9 on finished fittings. Visual inspection for surface defects. Wall thickness verification. Bevel end geometry confirmation per ASME B16.25.

Third Party Inspection

SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, and Intertek third-party inspection arranged on request. Pre-shipment inspection certificates issued before loading. EN 10204 3.2 (third-party witnessed MTC) available on request.

PMI Testing

Positive Material Identification (PMI) using XRF analyser available for specialty alloy grades β€” SS 316L, Duplex S31803, Inconel 625, Hastelloy C276. Confirms actual alloy composition matches MTC before dispatch.
