Classic high-temperature nickel-chromium alloy with excellent oxidation resistance and carburization resistance up to 1100Β°C. Used extensively in heat treating equipment, furnace components, and nuclear reactors. The original Inconel alloy.
Nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. Exceptional resistance to both oxidizing and reducing acids β sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acids. The bridge between stainless steel and higher-nickel alloys.
The benchmark for corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical environments. Outstanding resistance to oxidizing and reducing media, wet chlorine, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, and sulfuric acid at all concentrations. The most widely used Hastelloy alloy in chemical process industries.
Superior to C276 in oxidizing media. Better resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Higher chromium content (22%) vs C276 (16%) is the key differentiator. Specified for the most aggressive mixed acid environments.
Nickel-copper alloy with excellent resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and alkaline media. One of the few materials resistant to HF acid at all concentrations and temperatures. Used in marine, chemical, and oil refinery applications.
Commercially pure nickel with excellent resistance to caustic soda (NaOH) and other alkalis at all concentrations and temperatures. Nickel 201 (low carbon) is used above 315Β°C to prevent graphitization. Essential for caustic service in chemical plants.
