WPB is the universal standard for the majority of global piping. For sub-zero service — offshore, LNG, cryogenic — LTCS grades WPL6 and WPL3 are mandatory.
The universal standard carbon steel fitting grade — used in the majority of oil, gas, chemical, power, and general industrial piping worldwide. Default specification when no special conditions exist.
Higher strength variant with minimum tensile of 485 MPa versus WPB's 415 MPa. Specified when wall thickness reduction is desired for weight or space saving at identical pressure ratings.
Low Temperature Carbon Steel rated for service down to -46°C. The standard LTCS grade for offshore platforms, gas processing, LPG storage, and refrigeration piping. Charpy impact tested at -46°C.
Impact tested at -73°C. Specified for LNG service, cryogenic process systems, and applications below WPL6 rating. Contains 1.60–2.24% nickel for enhanced low-temperature toughness.
