ASME B16.9 covers factory-made wrought buttwelding fittings in standard schedules (Sch 10 to XXS) for carbon, alloy, and stainless steel grades. MSS SP-43 covers lightweight stainless steel buttwelding fittings — typically thinner wall (Sch 5S and 10S) — used in sanitary, chemical, and pharmaceutical applications. The choice depends on wall thickness and service pressure requirements.
We provide EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate (MTC) with full chemical composition and mechanical properties. On request: PMI (Positive Material Identification) test reports, dimensional inspection reports, hydro test certificates, radiography (RT) or ultrasonic (UT) test reports, IBR certificates, and NACE MR0175 compliance letters. All documents carry heat number traceability.
WP22 (2.25Cr-1Mo) is suitable for temperatures up to approximately 580°C and is widely used in conventional power plants. WP91 (9Cr-1Mo-V) is preferred for supercritical and ultra-supercritical steam service at temperatures up to 650°C. WP91 has significantly higher creep strength than WP22 at elevated temperatures. For new power plant projects with steam above 570°C, WP91 is the modern standard.
Yes. We manufacture buttweld fittings to customer-supplied drawings and specifications. This includes non-standard sizes, special wall thicknesses, custom end preparation, unusual angles, and proprietary material grades. Minimum order quantities apply for custom manufacturing. Please share your drawings or specifications for a manufacturing feasibility assessment and quotation.
Super Duplex 2507 (S32750) has higher chromium (25%), molybdenum (4%), and nitrogen content than Duplex 2205 (S31803). This gives Super Duplex a PREN above 42 vs above 35 for Duplex 2205 — significantly better pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Super Duplex is chosen for deepwater subsea systems and highly aggressive chloride environments; Duplex 2205 for offshore topsides and desalination.
